Bryce Richards

I joined the Lethbridge Artist Club in the spring of 2012 with the expectation to take a few painting courses

to strengthen my watercolor technique and painting skills. Primarily I am interested in landscape and

nature and hope to develop the necessary skills to be able to see detail and color in a variety of subjects

while producing paintings that are realistic and yet painterly. I would hope that as time progresses, I will

be able to develop a personal style which is truly me.

I have also started to experiment with digital painting software, media and hope to use that pursuit to

explore other media which is more difficult given the constraints and costs of different media in a

traditional painting environment.

Now that I am more retired, I hope that I can take the time to more fully develop my artistic talents.

I will be exhibiting for the first time a couple of paintings 2014 at the Yates Gallery.

Bryce, these are spectacular! I think my favorite is “West Coast Solitude” The clouds are quite unusual and really finish the the entire scene. Hugs, April
